When I first talk to a potential client and explain what I do, I try to impress on them the importance of their ACTIVE partipation in Creating a WEB Presence.
In order to generate quality CONTENT I need pics, stories, blog postings, articles and information to create coupons on various sites.
Every one of my clients acknowledge the fact they need to produce this RAW content for me to Spin into higher rankings for their websites.
But It's like pulling teeth to actually get this content!
We can all WIN the Google Game, but I can't do it by myself. You need to help by taking pics, writting up stories about the pics, create articles and blog postings, ect.
Here is an exercise for all of you reluctant marketers out there.
I have created a "BLOG" for every one of you and now its time to try to "push" these blogs out there.
I am actively loading these blogs onto the search engines and social bookmarking sites, ect.
What I would like all of you to do is to create an e-mail inviting all of your contacts to "follow" your blog.
Here is the link to my blog, I would like you all to go to the blog and "follow" me.
http://capecodvideosearch.blogspot.com/
Please leave a comment or two in the comments section of the blog.
This is what i'd like you to do with all of your e-mail contacts. I will also be posting the link to your blog on your social media networks.
The other thing you can do is find blogs of similar content to yours and leave comments and your urls on that blog site.
This will help spread the word about your blog to those of similar interests.
THIS IS IMPORTANT. Blogs are having a major impact on your rankings!
On the plus side this month:

Attention web site owners! Sharing your content with the world just got a lot more simple. With Twitter’s launch of the Tweet Button, users can now share links directly from the page they’re on. Instead of copying and pasting the link into Twitter’s website, or shortening links, users only have to click the Tweet Button, which prompts a Tweet Box to appear. In this box is a shortened version of the link that will be tweeted. A click of the button and BAM! A tweet is born.
This simplified process means that Twitter users will be even more likely to share web content with all of their followers. Which, in turn, means even more traffic for web site owners. And don’t think this option is only available to corporate giants. Bloggers and small businesses, as well as those corporate giants, all have the same access to the Tweet Button. Copy and paste a few lines of code into your website and voila. You have a Tweet Button.

A Tweet Button may be a web site owner’s answer to the traffic they’re looking for. Each time a web site is tweeted, other “suggested websites” appear for the user. Yours may be among those suggested websites. Yet another way to spread the word on your web site quickly and cheaply. Twitter has a growing list of websites which has adopted the Tweet Button. Make yours one of them.

If your business is a brick and mortar location that customers visit in person, odds are good that it will end up in Facebook Places whether you put it there or not. Even if you don't choose to take advantage of Facebook Places to promote business, you should still claim ownership of your place to ensure the information is accurate.
•How To Use Facebook Places 36712254 With half a billion Facebook members, odds are good that at least a few of them are your customers. That means there is a likelihood that someone will "check-in" to Facebook Places at your place of business and your establishment will have a Facebook Places page whether you intend to use it or not.
You don't have to bother claiming your Place. But, if it's going to be there anyway, you may as well at least manage and maintain the basic details. By claiming the Facebook Place you are able to edit the address, business hours, profile picture, contact information, and other settings such as designating admins authorized to alter the Places page.
If your Facebook Place doesn't exist yet, you can use the smartphone Facebook app to check-in at your business to create it. Once your business has a Facebook Place, there is a link at the bottom that says "Is this your business?" Click that to begin the verification process.
Claiming your Place requires some supporting evidence--so random strangers should be prevented from claiming your Facebook Place. Aside from basic information like the name, URL, and address of the business, the Claim Place page also asks for the Federal EIN (Employee Identification Number), and requires that you upload a scan of official documents.
You can choose from articles of certificate of incorporation, certificate of formation, local business license, or Better Business Bureau accreditation. Once you submit the necessary information, the Place still does not automatically become yours. You receive a message stating "Thanks, your inquiry has been forwarded to the Facebook Team." You also receive an e-mail confirming the submission and notifying you to "Stand by as we should be back with you soon."
According to the Facebook Help Center, you can also advertise your Facebook Place on Facebook. The Help Center FAQ explains "To advertise your Place, click "I want to advertise something I have on Facebook" in the ad creation flow and choose your Place from the drop-down menu."
Facebook Places is new to the location-based check-in game. Some elements--like the ability to target marketing at Facebook users who have only checked in to your business--don't exist yet (although I am fairly sure they will be tacked on sooner rather than later). However, you can target specials and promotions at Facebook users who "Like" your Facebook Place page.
I recommend that businesses embrace the location-based check-in concept and use it as a powerful tool for marketing and to build repeat customers. But, even if you don't plan to advertise your Facebook Place page, or target promotional specials at Facebook fans that have checked-in to your business, if the Facebook Place for your business is going to be out there anyway, you better take ownership of it and at least make sure the information it reflects is accurate.

How to Install the Facebook Like Button On Every Page of Your Site
Facebook is the most rapidly growing social networking platform, with over 400 million active users (and climbing quickly). With so many users and with people's preoccupation with Facebook, it makes sense to use the "Like" button to help virally spread the word about what you do to others who are interested in you.
Once the button is on your page, any time a Facebook user visits your site and clicks on it, a link to your page is added to their activity stream. Then, all of their friends can see that link, and if interested, click on it and be sent directly to your page. When that second person clicks on the button, the button is personalized for them by showing which of their friends have already clicked it. And then, when your friends click on it, a link to your page gets added to their stream, as well. Easy viral marketing!
Here's how you can install the "Like" button on your site:
1. Visit the Facebook page to create the button, found here: http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/like
2. Copy the URL of the page where you want to install the button to the form in Facebook.
3. Pick your features. This is where you choose your layout style, whether you want to show faces, the width of the button (the default 475 pixels is fine), what you want the button to say (Like or Recommend), the font of the button, and the color scheme.
4. Click "Get the Code." You'll discover you have two options here, an i-frame or JavaScript (HFBML) version. Here are the difference between the two:
Because the content inside the i-frame is hosted by Facebook, Facebook can determine whether the user is logged in or not using a cookie. If the person is logged in to Facebook, the information in the i-frame is personalized for that user, like showing a list of your friends who have also "liked" the page. If you're not logged in, you'll be prompted to log in or join.
The JavaScript version offers some extras. When you use this code, clicking the Like button will also show the profile pictures of your friends who have clicked on the Like button, as well as gives your visitors the chance to add a comment to the link when they click on the Like button. There's also some extra programming involved if you select this option.
I suggest you use the i-frame because it's easier to configure.
5. Highlight and copy the button code provided on the page for you.
6. Return to the page where you want the button to appear. In your HTML editor, you need to paste the code where you want it to appear on your page. As you look at the code, you'll see that it references the page you selected on which your code will appear. You'll also notice that the width of the box is set to 475 pixels (if you chose that width at setup) but there's no height set. You might want to set the height at 75 pixels so that the button doesn't take over your page.
7. Publish and "like" your page. Save the page with the code and publish it to your site. Go to your updated page and "Like" your page. Your page must be accessible to any viewer. If the content is password-protected (like in a membership site), an error message will appear when someone clicks the "Like" button on a page.
Connect the pages of your blog or web site with Facebook via the "Like" button. Share them with your friends and followers and watch the viral marketing happen!

Why do "like Pages" influence rankings on the Searchg Engines
Why do people "like"Face Book pages, Reprint by Cape Cod Video Search

I have been speaking to my clients about the importance of being a player in the SocialMedia Marketing Game. I create a business page on FB, link it to a twitter account, and link that to a linked-in page. I post information, pics and videos to their blog and use the blog to feed to their facebook page. I Re-tweet it on Twitter, ect.
The focus on Social Media sites when you first set up your page(s) is to create friends and followers.
Your blog should also be registered with the major search engines and social bookmarking sites.
Getting indexed is the 1st step in being found, and a blog that has followers and gets Comments is a blog that will succeed.
And LIKE all other things "Internet" CONTENT and its quality is King!
The higher the quality anbd intertest, will create more comments and will generate a higher ranking for the website that the blog is pointing back to.
Google has shared some results from recent research eMarketer conducted on consumers becoming friends/fans of brands on Facebook. According to these findings, close to half of Facebook users actually do "friend" brands (the term is technically "like" now), with 55% friending/liking zero brands.
eMarketer says that the biggest reason consumers are friending brands is for the possibility of discounts (25%). Brands might like the second reason even better though - to show others they support the brand (18%).
What makes you "like" a brand on Facebook? Please leave your thoughts in the comment section of this posting.

Everyday you update your blog. You write about your life and post it on your site. But no one reads them. Then you try writiting about latest technology and gadgets hoping that you will get some comments from readers on the next day but still, not many people comes to your site. But you still continue posting and updating your site everyday, every night. After some period, you realized that you need to promote and advertise your site but you don't know how.
Here I will share with you some tips on how to promote and get more readers to your site. I'm no expert in site advertising or marketing but I have some little knowledge that I want to share with you. :d
Join bloggers forum
Join and participate in bloggers forum or portals. Introduce yourself and brief politely about your site. Tell them what your site is about. I'm sure in every bloggers forum, there is a section where you can promote or show off your blog. Post something there.
Describe your blog and invite them to visit. If the forum admin enable signature in post (usually it is enable), put your site link in your signature. That way, peoples can see your site link when you post or reply someone's post on the forum.
Visit other blogs
You must start it first. Don't wait people come to your site. Visit other member's blog and drop them some comments about their blog posts. Don't give comments say something like, "Hey, nice site!" or "I love your site. Cool!" but give comments that relate to their posts. If they read your comment, they also will visit back to your site.
Another way is, if your post same like other people post, trackback their post. I assume you know how to use trackback. :p
Submit to Blog Directory/Topsites
There are many blog directories in the Internet. Submit your site to as many blog directories as you can. Almost of them are free but some of them you need to put HTML code on your site before your site been listed in their directory.
And join topsites too. If your site is on top rank, there will be more peoples now about your site.
Signature in Email
Put your site link in your email signature. So each time you send or reply email, the receiver will see it. So they'll know that you have a site and they will visit your site to see what your blog is about.
Join Exchange Link program
This program is a two way feedback. You put their site link on your site and they will put yours on their site. The system goes like that. Beside increase your page rank, it also can bring more peoples to your site.
Public Bookmarking
Submit your contents to any public book marking sites such del.icio.us or Furl, etc. There are many to list here. But make sure that you submit on specific topic or people will ignore it.
Submit to Search Engine
Submit your site link to popular search engine such as Google, Yahoo, etc. There are some sites that can submit your site to 20 search engines for free.
Ping your site
This is a must. Ping your site to Pingoat.com or Pingomatic.com each time you update your site. Both of them give the best ping-ing services.
Well, if you have make all these things I'm sure in one week or maybe less, you will have regular visitors that come to your site. But make sure you have good contents on your site or you will loose them one by one.
The last two items binging and posting the url to search engines I have done for all my clients and Im now starting a program to list them on social bookmarking sites, and blog directories.

Developing a Website, Reprint by Cape Cod Video Search
508-317-1806
The difference between a excellent money making website and a normal webpage depends on how well optimized the website is and how well enabled it is for internet marketing purposes. Unless you are doing it for the fun of it, owning a website should be part of your overall business plot to maximize profits. Websites do this either directly (such as earning ad based revenues) or indirectly (promoting your products and services).
To achieve most favorable results from your website, you need to optimize it for simpler recognition by search engines. The more a website is recognized by search engines, the higher the rating it will achieve, which will result in more traffic. More traffic means more sales.
How websites achieve this higher rating and visibility is no magic. It is by sheer strategy and hard work. Here, we clarify some of the most vital strategies to apply.
1. Provide quality content. Your website must provide what people are looking for. Build keyword rich, quality and relevant content, updating it as often as possible. Internet marketing is about the quality and uniqueness of content and search engines recognize this. They provide higher ratings to websites that have fresh, keyword rich content that users will find relevant.
2. Excellent website design. Ease of navigation and content determines greatly how long a searcher will stay on the website. You want visitors to feel at ease when they visit your website. Things to look out for include; Make sure each page has a title tag with keywords on it. The content of the page must have the keywords repeated prominently for simpler picking by search engines. Build a site map for simpler navigation, organizing the web pages around their importance and on keywords. No one wants to waste time on a website where they can barely find the information they need. The same applies to search engines also.
3. Actively promote it. If you do not know how to market your website, engage the services of an internet-marketing professional. There are several ways to expose your website to the world. These include, linking it with other relevant websites. This way, people looking for the same information will land on it and so will search engines. You also need to submit it to directories. Directories list down and facilitate simpler searching of websites based on their content categories.
4. Be patient. Let your website grow organically and avoid use of black hat techniques to sell your website to the search engines. This will always rebound back on you and you will not like the results. Be patient, SEO and internet marketing are time-consuming activities.

Bing st to power Yahoo Search
By August of this year (2010) the Yahoo search engine will be powered by BING.
In order to take full advantage of this new feature you will need to greate a yahoo e-mail address and follow the direction provied once you do this. As the combined bing/Yahoo will take on more importance in the Search Engine world, doing this early and optimizing your website for this new search engine takes on greater significance.
Establishing a presence on Bing maps is a good 1st step, although a little cumbersome because they use snail mail to send back a verification link, it is well worththe effort.
An account is also needed on yahoo maps and of course the Goggle maps which can be accessed only if you have a google account. You can add pics, videos and reviews to your google maps listing, as well as coupons and event schedules. Google Places which gives you access to google maps is a key componet to SEO and Search Engine Marketing. I make sure all of my clients have those listings established and I add to them every chance I get.

LSI is a new Ranking Factor for Google
Cape Cod Video Search
Observation: Google and the other search engines have tinkered with their formulas again!
The new wrinkle is called LSI or Latent Semantic Indexing.
What this means is that the search crawlers will be looking for "related words and phrases to your main key words in the text of your website content.
For example: if your key word is "internet video" then related words and phrases
such as video marketing and business video will cause the crawlers to rank you higher.
If your Administer your own website your need to examine your content and make the changes that will cause the search engines to favor you.
Remember change is always good to your content. Be sure you add ,pics, and slide shows to your sites. Then add text to these features that reflect LSI
Be sure to speak to your Webmaster is you don;t administer your site.
Ask them if they are aware of LSI and make sure they Optimize your site accordingly!
Please feel free to call me at 508-317-1806 for a free consultation.
Good Luck!

Promoting Your Business on the Web
Do You Need to Promote Your Business on the Web?
I am an internet marketer. The ONLY thing I sell on the Web is YOUR Business.I will create a web presence so strong it will knock you competition off the 1st page and your business will tate that spot! How do I do that?By placing free business listings in as many interntet directories as I can. Then we create videos promoting your business. Finnally we creat a social media marketing network for your business. Then each month we WORK those sites, videos and Social media network. This is however a partnership. I need you to send me CONTENT. Content is king on the net. What is content? Content is anything that I can use to promote your business. If your a builder, plumber, electrician, mason, ect send me PICS of your projects along with a little verbage about those jobs. I can spin these pics into video slide shows, blog postings, and interesting postings to your social media network. If your a lawyer, accountant, other intellectual service provider send me articles, case studies or tips about what you do. All of the above is CONTENT.Depending on how much competition their is in your category will determine how long it will take and how much content you will need to provide to reach the goal of 1st page placement on the results pages of google, yahoo and bing. I will submit your URL to 300 search engines, the sam for your blog and video urls. The results of all the things I do WILL be those 1st page organic listings I keep talking about and what you need to grow your business in these tough economic times.\
